a friend of mine is working out West. Came across this. 98 Chevy crew cab 3500. truck was a 6.5 turbo diesel and a 4l80e. Now has a 98 ctd. Few upgrades nothing big. Six speed manual. Ford 60 front 14 bolt rear. Detroit lockers. about 6 inches a lift. Newer style LAV tires. Body is in perfect shape. Ready for paint. Since it was rebuilt has 17,000 miles on.. I don't have pictures yet.

What is a good offer??I have no idea. There is a hell of a lot of money in that truck. Never mind the time.. thanks:waytogo:

yes he said make him a real offer

I hate that $hit. Thats like someone asking me how low i'll go :doah:

I do not negotiate with myself.

That is a 3-4k rig stock.

Offer him $6k and be ready to negotiate a bit more?

Yes, he has WAY more into it . But, if he knows his stuff, he also knows he can't expect to get out what he put in.

Get us some pictures if you can, although your good offer and his good offer could be two totally different figures. Do you have a figure in your head that you would like to offer? At worst he can tell you no, then try again if you are set on it. I'm not sure what it is worth to be honest with you but you know how it is, you never get close to what you put in it. Good luck anyways sorry I wasn't any help.

You really need to look at this thing in person. On paper it has lots of good parts but how was it put together? There has been substantial modifications done to the that truck.....was it done correctly or is it a cobbled together mess? I've heard several stories about people buying rigs like this and then spending a bunch of time and money trying to make it a driveable rig.

You're going to get a whole crap load of answers. What do YOU think it's worth? What does HE think it's worth? That's all that really matters. You can show a gold brick to an Ethiopian kid, and show him the equivalent in food, guess which he'll want. It's all about perceived value.

So what I'm saying is, start pointing out flaws, so his perceived value drops.
