What to use on the top?

Now that my 72 K/5 is going to be shiny I need to do some resto work on the top. Does anyone have any experience with coating the top? What I want to use is a UV resistant gelcoat. But when I looked online, it seems there is gelcoat, and then there is another coating which is UV resistant. Anyone have experience with this or could at least shed some light on the subject for me?
