them manual transmissions are sloppy, the 5.7 motors are good, and the NP 241 t-case has the front shaft output on the wrong side if you're putting it in a k5 or 87-down 4x4 (anything straight axle). if the motor's any good i'd nab it all for 500
a k-5 uses a NP 241c, i think, and a 241 b in an IFS truck
