Well my NP208 took a crap on me and instead of rebuilding it I'm just gonna get another one. Just curious as to what is the strongest one to buy the 208, 205 or whatever else? Also what will I need (adapters) if any to mount it to my 700r4?

205 is strongest, but 208 has a better low range.

if u mount a 205 u will need the t-350 version adapter & a spacer. there are several threads about it u could turn up a lot w/ a little search

what he said.

another option would be a np241. Good case if you put a SYE kit on it. Otherwise, the 205 rocks. I dig mine.

Don't know what junkyard cases go for in your world, but around here they are in the $300 range...for 241, 208

I rebuilt my 241 which is very near the same as a 208...Very Easy...bearings/seal kit, and chain for about $200...I needed a range fork which was another $58, and I dropped my pump and broke it for another $52...

It shifts and operates like new, I Know what's in it (unlike junkyard)...:saweet:

They put 208's behind some 1 tons...

Transfer case

You mentioned you rebuilt your t-case for $200, that's pretty cheap for a kit I think. Where did you get it?
