what type of air mask should i use with sandblasting?

depends on the type of abrasive, but I've used an organic filter respirator for silica...you do not want to get that in your respiratory system. other more coarse types of abrasive you could use a paint sock on your head with a 3M particulate mask.
In both cases I use a faceshied as well, allows air movement, but doesn't fog up like goggles would.

Can I get this at home depot? They have the 3m filter with cartrages. One type is for lead paint.

you want the dust/mist cartridge...or if you get the organic vapor, it will handle paint as well.

those rock, we got them at work...fresh cool breathing air..:waytogo:

Did not know this.... Glad i shot 320 lbs of sand at the interior of the blazer with no resp :doah::doah:

Damn. Well the stuff i used was med grit, and it didnt really make alot of dust. Oh well now i know
