Hey all Im putting the 1980 ford shock towers on my cucv. The fuel line is in the way( I believe it is the fuel line) I was thinking of diconnecting the top part of the line and bending a new one. What type of fuel line will I need? Also I need to bent the connection slightlyto clear the tower, anything to worry about there? A pic with the stock shock mount and fuel line

You might need to bleed it, sorry I can't say for sure if that is fuel or brake. Just get the same size line or you may be able to bend what you have there to clear.

that is fuel line. 3/8"

if you dissconnect the pink wire on the top of the injector pump and then crank it to get the air out (with the bleeder on the filter open) you shouldnt have any troubles.

Take pics of when its done, I'm considering doing this to my truck.

Did you ever get this figured out? I'm having the same problem and some pictures would be very helpful.

I know I dug this up, but the user was on last august, thought maybe they were still around. This also seemed a good place to ask if there is a rubber line that is suitable for diesel that I could run in place of the upper line pictured at that junction.

Did you use their fuel injection hose or the regular version?

After looking at my truck a bit more I am thinking of pulling the hard line completely. There is hose at the tank and at the pump. I think I can just replace the hole line with hose. I would move it all inside the frame. Any problems I should anticipate?

I doubt any problems with that. I replumbed my entire '98.5 dodge with -8 gatorgrip and a fass transfer pump. Right off the new draw straw at the tank. I didn't use anypart of the OEM module except the stock return from the engine, the fullflow return from the fass goes into filler neck back to tank.
