About 30 days from leaving Iraq and getting home to assemble my 1980 k5 with all of the parts that I have purchased during this deployment but trying to figure out what shocks to run is driving me nuts. My setup is Front: dana 60, ord x-over steering, factory 52" leaves with 1" zero rate. Rear: 14bolt ff 6" superlift springs w/ ord 2.5 " shackle flip. I know I am going to need some type of pricey shocks because this suspension setup should flex pretty well and i doubt the standard 8" lift shocks will allow it to fully travel. Problem is i have really no idea about what to buy, how to measure for length and travel or even how to decide where to mount them. Can anybody help me out?

thanks for the support and I will be sure to give ORD a call if the phones here will actually work for once haha

Where you deployed at? I just returned from Mosul/FOB Marez/FOB Diamondback a few months ago.

As for your question, Bilstein for the brand. I used the 5150's on my truck. I just ordered the longest ones that were valved for my application. It's been awhile since I ordered them, but I think they were about $100 a piece. Got mine from Amazon.
