What was the first 4X4 truck you ever went wheeling in?

My 1st wheeling was a while back in my friends 58 Wille's milltary jeep. he Bought that sucker for $100 bucks and it had a Ford 302 in it. It wasn't fast prolly top speed was 35mph with those low gears in the back. man i loved that thing everytime u drop the cluch that thing would do a pop-a-wheelie. man that thing was a beast

As best as I can remember, the first 4X4 that I went wheeling in was my uncle's 1976 GMC K1500. It was yellow with the big white stipe and had a 350, SM465, NP205, D44, 12 bolt and 33" Goodyear Wranglers.....the military style ones.

We went on quite a few trips up into the mountains near Hawthorne Nevada.

One time my dad got it buried up to the frame in mud. We spent the day throwing rocks and sagebrush into the goo to try to get traction. We got stuck early in the morning and didn't get out until late in the afternoon.:doah:

Mine was in a 1967 furd f-250 with 31's and a camper. The body roll with that camper scared the hell out of me! :eek1:

The same 84 k10 that I have now. Its changed a bunch though. First time out it had no lift with 31s on 10 bolts and a long wheel base. Now its got a short wheel base 14 bolt and dana 44 4inch lift and 35s. The first time was prolly the most fun cause I didnt know what I was doing and even the little rocks and mud puddles seemed fun. Now it takes boulders and waist deep mud holes to get excited.

The first truck was a 79' k5, around 86'. I did wheel Dad's 3/4 ton sub a couple times, I learned what body damage was at an early age. I did here about-it....that's for sure.:doah:

My first time wheeling was in a '89 Aerostar AWD minivan about 6-7 years ago. My uncle took me and my sister through some old quarries, and down a few old logging roads. On our way back out to the main road we see this tire dead center of the trail and we all say we can't remember that being there on the way in. Once we got out and looked it turned out is was our spare. All the bouncing around had snapped the rusty old winch cable right off the spare tire winch. :eek1: I've been hooked on the sport ever since.:D
