What will be the next garage trend?

New%2520shot.jpg

I don't remember where I got this pic, but I kept it because I like the way he cut the top and moved it forward so he could keep the back seats and make the rest like a pick up. But here are some tapered fenders for ya

:screwy: :screwy: :haha: :haha: :screwy: :screwy: :haha: :haha: Hey look. The website where I got the pic is painted on the side of the truck..... so there ya go

that's Kert's truck. he's a member here, and goes cyberfire.

Not sure what the next fad will be, but I'm sure You will be wanting to do it just like all the others.

Not unless people follow me in building an S10, I don't even have a K5 anymore.

i think this will be the next fab

since i started my SAS on my s10 4 months ago, ive seen about a half dozen post on SAS s10's

I want to put a slidding door on the side of my suburban, I have five kids so that would be sweet

Maybe the next fad will be getting out and actualy wheeling and working on driving skills rather than getting cought up in a neverending build in an effort to keep up with what all the cool kids are doing.

How can you know what you realy want or actualy need if ya dont go out and play :D

You dont need a tapered boatsided bobbed rig with a locked 14 bolt,Dana 60,doubler,EFI,and huge tires to actualy get out and have fun like some may lead folks to believe.

maybe not, but some of us get as much enjoyment out of working on our rig as we do driving our rig. What is wrong with that? My grandma loved to paint... when she got done with a painting she'd give it to a family member or something... she didn't stand around staring at it for hours on end because the pleasure she got from painting was the act of painting itself. I like working on my truck... I don't get out to wheel as much as I'd like too... but considering gas prices and my current finances, thats fine with me.

Nothing is wrong with that.I like working on my truck too.It just sucks to see people that start doing one simple mod that turns into a bunch of huge mods with 1,2,3,5+ years of down time. And then somewhere in the middle stop and think this isnt fun anymore and want to throw in the towel. The frustration is understandable, not being able to reap the rewards of your time money and hard work.

I think we may see more street freindly trends coming back in and less extreem stuff. Everything seems to be extreem these days and alot of pepole are losing intrest. Then with all the buggie bashing going on and puplic lands getting locked up, I find my self wondering why not knock it down a notch. I look back to the days when I loaded the wife and kids in the K5 drove on the road for a bit, then hit the trail and drove home if I could'nt do an obstical it was no big deal. Now I trailor my cutup K5 looking for the nastyest stuff I can find and think I have to climb it all, or I'm not having fun.

I couldn't imagine being down that long.

I started building mine in March and I just did my first "break stuff" run last night (with no headlights).
