What about a powertraxx no slip unit (I can get one cheap)
Aftermarket full case posi or locker , or lockright in an open case are much stronger than gov locs or factory posi's . You will break a shaft occasionally if you drive hard in rocks and stuff /forums/images/graemlins/k5.gif
Said 10 bolt in air....wheels spinning with generous application of right foot to skinny peddle....return to terra firma with said right foot still buried in skinny peddle...
I ran a auburn pro series LS in my 10B with 4.10's for allmost 5 years before she gave up the ghost at EJS this year...all i ever broke was a axle shaft...actually twisted the yokes so good i pooped out the c clip holding in the u joint cap....which in turn let said cap fly be free....had fun getting the shaft out due to the spread ears but i was amazed that a LS had enough holding power to do this...
