hey there all,
i'm starting to keep my eyes open for a good deal on a new 350, i've seen a few posts here and there, and one was for a brand new GM 350 4 bolt that was put into a '72 K5 but never ran. my question is what will drop down into my stock '86 Jimmy and bolt up to everything fine?
just wondering....
thanks.

An older 350 will drop in just fine- you will have to change the flex plate/flywheel. Your 86 uses a different flexplate then the older style engines (85-prior) and will not bolt up to your crank. I swapped an older engine in my '86 last October, so if you have any more questions, let me know.
