Im gonna buy a Blazer in the old years soon... Im not really good and familiarised with the Modification that can be done. I would be satisfied with 38 inch tire (Interco Bogger perhaps) and fender trim , 6 inch lift... I think that for 38 inch i would need to change the differencial gear right?
Good cd player, blazer in good condition... and a job to pay the gaz LOL

Whats moddification would you do to a blazer (and what years) to be your dream offroad blazer?

4" drop, IFS installed (no more sfa), ditch the tcase, a lot of chrome, all black, black 24s, tinted glass, 4 15"s in the back.

jk

but i think almost everyone will say the same thing... big tire/ small lift/ d60 / 14bff/ ect ect...

and for 38s youll definatly need to rear. and mostly likly reaxle depending on the year you buy, the newer models have 10b rears :doah:

black 91, steering mog 404s f/r, full hydro steering, 52's up front 63's in the rear, 42' iroks on trailreadys, built 502 4l80 203/205 doubler, gutted interior good cage corbeau seats 5 point harnesses, boat stereo and nice cb

narrowed front and rear, exocage, steering rocks at both ends with ouverson engineering's 2" shaft kit, mog U1300's would be cool but hard to find parts for and modify, full hydro, linked with coilovers, Ram jet 502, built 4l80e, Stak 3-speed case with a Klune-V in front of it for stupid low gears, 45" ag tires on a custom set of Stazworks double beadlocks...I think that's about it for the big things :D

Other than that, the run of the mill stuff like racing buckets, OBA, harnesses, spares, etc.

whoa thats a long list I am going with a first gen mog axles all aluminum engine I don't care as long as its over 500ci air spring suspension 52s for the street 49" iroks for off road. 4l80e to klune to probably a stack. man I could go on for a while

Don't have a perfect "offroad" Blazer . I have a perfect Wheelin' Blazer ideas . We don't go Off road , we stick to existing trails so we don't get anymore closures :D

My perfect K5 would be .. in perfect condition, for starters. It would have 100% complete aftermarket beef... as well as some nifty creature comforts. But in order for it to be "perfect" it would:

be free of cost, never need to be refueled .. and every night it would leave the driveway, and return with some super hot little honey who wants to jump my bones.

 Now that would be a Blazer I'd never sell

Dream blazer- 91, portal axles, with a 4BT cummins and a NV5600 to a 205 t-case, running on waste vegetable oil. 11R16's

Perfect Blazer- 91, d60/14BFF/D60/70, whatever, ARB front/rear selectable, with a 93 6.5TD with a NV4500 with 241 tcase. 9 R 16

why the 84 CUCV M1009 I am buying ;) it needs two sets of tires, the 31" bfg's i am also buying and a set of 31" swampers :waytogo: a couple lockers would be cool but basically in sotck form is very versitile :saweet: bring on 4 low baby!!!!

forget old K5s, get an 1987+ so it has FI. If you want a full topper, chop the top off a 2nd gen. It ain't hard. Anyway, with a newer rig at least you'll actually keep something other than just the frame and body...

91 with 454, th400, Doubler, D60, 14FF both detroited, 40 or 42 boggers rear TSL fronts. narrowed front and rear. Exoskelled. Flat black everwhere, with two blue racing stripes. Big receiver mount winch for front and rear. probably 6 - 8 inch lift with schakle flip rear. hydro-assist steering.

Everything that could be made over would be overkill...i seem to be hard on stuff

My perfect offroad blazer would be a BURB :burb: :saweet:
with mogs,42s h1s,383/465/203/205 and the back end cut and caged :burb: :hack: :crewcab: :thumb:

i'd like to build an 81+ K5 someday. 52s and 56s, flipped rear. D60/shaved 14FF, MPFI 383, 4L80E, maybe a doubler. 37" MTRs. of course, need some good body armor, maybe even replace sections of the sheetmetal itself with something a bit sturdier.
