1/2 ton status
i posted a few days ago about trashing my 5.7 during a full day of hard wheeling. i don't plan on selling the k5, but i'm curious what i might be able to get for it, with the dead engine.
quick specs:
1982 k5,
700r4 with np208 (both in very good shape),
stock 10-bolts in good shape,
no major body damage (just minor floor rust-mostly repaired),
factory paint is in decent shape,
stock springs without sag, rs5000 shocks,
top is in good shape and seals very well.
i like the truck. hell, it outdoes stock jeeps on the trail. but i have to decide on keeping it or dropping the money for a new engine, and probably professional installation. with the temp in the high nineties to low hundreds, that much work really sucks. been there.
