1/2 ton status
I have been a member of this great site since about '04 if memory serves me correctly, and over the years I have been putting together my K5.
Well I have lost interest in it and toying with the idea of selling it, but not sure what to ask, and if I did come up with a number is it totally outrageous.
It is a '88 Chevy K5, GMPP 454HO crate motor, BeCool radiator, 60/14/465/205 drivetrain combo, 4.88 gears, hydroclutch and hydroboost, 4 wheel discs, SS brake lines, HAD rear driveline (1410 at the axle, double 1350 at the case), 39.5x16.5 TSLs on alum rims, Sunburst Orange Metallic paint was done back in '04 as was the interior (interior redone in black). Paint is showing some wear, with a blister here and there. lift is a combination of 10" leafs, relocated DIY4X shackles in the front, 8" leafs and ORD flip in the rear. ORD crossover steering and frame brace as well.
Essentially if it isnt brandnew, it has been rebuilt, and it has literally no miles on it, maybe some "yards" from moving it around the driveway.
the engine itself is going for close to $6000 these days and that doesnt include the carb, headers, distributor, fuel pump, etc.
The truck does need some odds and ends to be finished, the front driveshaft would be the biggest, other than that it is little odds and ends.
I am hoping to get $9000. some pictures are in my album, but they were taken before the bumpers went back on, the dana 60 swapped in for the 44, and the 454.
Am I totally crazy thinking I could get that much?
