I have a line on a well-used but well-maintained M1008 that a muni authority has had since day 1. They're dumping it.

I have an '87 K5. Would I be able to get anything useful off of it for my K that I should go for?

Thats the pickup right? Dont the come with 1 tons and 6.2s?

1 1/4 tons to be correct. very desirable find.

So, if I can score a functioning CUCV 1008 that was running as recently as two weeks ago, the axles are things I can use on a K...and would want to?

What i could find is that it should have a 14 bolt, and the front axle is different, too. Is their extra weight worth what they would add to the truck?

Why not just buy the whole rig and have one badazz ready to go wheeler?

Idk what your getting stuff for but the going rate for a 60/14 combo on here seems to be over a grand easy. Now if you could get the whole rig and just sell it.....

unless i'm cornfused. that should be the cucv? which should be a dana 60 front. 14 bolt rear with a locker. 4.56 gears. i believe a th400 trans with a 32 spline np208 t case.

I would have the whole truck. I now understand that the truck has not run in two years "due to the batteries being bad." I am less enthused, but it has been worked in its time for sure.

The motor is the least valuable part of that truck, many people swap the 6.2 out anyway.

The truck itself may be worth something if it's in ok shape, the axles alone are worth $1500 or so.

I have to open my mouth. If this truck is priced anywhere around what has been mentioned..............and..............you don't feel it's worth it............help a member pick it up.

It doesn't sound like you're too interested in it, or at least hesitant to pull the trigger. Either jump on it or help a CK5 member pick it up, don't let it leave the brotherhood.

wow, current bid is less than $350! even if all you got was the axles and new fenders out of it that seems worthwhile.
