I know of a mid 80's chevy shortbed for sale. It has an 8" lift, bald 39.5" swampers, Dana 60 front 4.56, 14 bolt rear 4.56 detroit, NP205, TH350. It does not have a motor. Now the guy wants 2k for it. I would like to keep it but I wouldn't have room for it. There is also a guy who would buy it from me minus the D60 for $800.

I'm debating if I want to buy it and steal the dana 60 and 8" lift, put my 4" lift and 10 bolt front in it. Swap the 14 bolt gears / carrier for my carrier, and sell the truck as is for $1000 and buy me some new tires. Only problem is the 39.5's would not fit with a 4" lift. I'll have to check to see if it has a 3" body as well.

Or I could just yank the dana 60 and sell it to that guy for $800.

Or I could keep it? ;)

So what would you do? Any other ideas?

It's the orange truck in this picture..

Has alot of good parts from yer description. Definately a good start. Buy it and build her up, thats what i would do.

39.5's will fit with only 4 inches, iv ran them several time with only 4 inches, but i usually run 38.5's

how about building the orange one from your truck? motor and tires... then sell yours... seems like that'd be less work...

So you could pay $2,000 for the truck and then resell it for $800 minus the front D60...........so you are basically paying $1,200 for a front Dana 60  That's not a very good deal, even if you also stole the Detroit out of the back.

I agree, but thats the best deal I can find without driving 5 hours to find an axle.

i know what u could do you could sell me the truck for like 500 haha. or u could part it out and just sell me the lift haha.
