So i need to hunt down a pesky little vaccume leak, So i figured I would spary something while the engine was running, and see if there is a change in rpm, when i spray certin areas.

All I have here is

1. Brake Clean
2. WD40
3. Starting fluid

Which would you use?

ditto, any propane torches available?

No propane tourches, and I was thinking the starting fluid myself, but then got to thinking, that It might be a little too volitile (sp?)..

Nope, I've sprayed it on hot running engines all the time. If your engine is still cold it's even safer.

WD is the best the other 2 have the potential to melt or otherwise mess up your rubber hoses

I use carb cleaner.

I dislike WD enough that I don't keep any around. There are other products that are better for any one of it's claimed uses.

The red brakleen isnt flammable so i wouldnt use that. WD-40 and carb cleaner work good. I think starting fluid has to low of a flashpoint, not sure tho.

3,1,2 thats my bed and ccarb clean works well too I would use carb clean over wd-40 anyday.

Well i used both the wd40 and starting fluid...and did not find a leak, but its acting like it has a vacuume leak:thinking:

So now i'm just scratching my head..:dunno:
