Tossup. It is a clean truck, especially the rust thing. Those are hard to come by.
However, in this economy and with gas prices as they are, selling these trucks is hard and so *buying* them is pretty easy. There's lots out there -- admittedly not so many in as good condition -- and the prices are depressed. And even slightly modified trucks (i.e. lift, big tires, etc) tend to bring LESS money than a totally original one. Look at Artzner's truck; I could see his bringing that kind of money. (And it's a full convertible, which are older and nominally worth more.)
That's a FAT chunk of change, so if it were me I'd take it and run -- after making VERY sure the $$ is real, i.e. my bank has verified the currency as real or the cashier's check has cleared on both ends.
Seems to me that with a little digging, you could find another, perhaps more original, truck in the same kind of shape, for a chunk less money.
I mean, I name all my trucks and the two that I've sold have brought a tear to my eye as they rumbled off down the street... but for almost ten grand, I can cry a bit. Hell, at this point if I was offered that kind of money for either of mine I'd think long and hard about it.
