what ya'll think?

of course you know this would require a different harmonic balancer and flywheel right?

Sounds like a sweet engine build coming up here.

yes, i asked that question the other day, not gonna be to wild, i have a 366t hardened steel crank i plan on using, i've got to get the rods checked b/c 4x4high said he thinks the truck motors had diff rods...i'd like to find out for sure & find out if gm nitrated the 366t rods also...i think the crank has a dampner...i plan to hang some 427 pistons on recon'd rods and have the entire rotating assmbly balanced from balancer to flywheel, i plan on an aluminum intake and comp cam 268 extreme energy cam...maybe a little shot of no2 for the mudpit

I think the truck rods were beefier in the big end. I think they only used 3/8 bolts also. I don't recall reading anything about the rods on any engine being nitrate treated or tufftriding.
