Mid to late 80s are the best ecause of the stronger axleshafts. I think they started using the stronger shafts in '83.
Yep,The earlier ones had the inner shafts that were necked down.if you can find a 60 at a good price buy it.you could always change the shafts later.Also when you do spend the money and convert to 35 spline outers.well worth the money.
