Did they paint the roof interior white in some years 76 and newer? Because the door frame looks to go above the window and their is s a seat belt on the B pillar, yet, the roof is still white. So I am going to guess late 70s, 76 - 79? I can't see the floor to see if the footwell went back like they changed in 78.

EDIT: you can see the floor goes down in front of the seat before it broke off, so I am narrowing down my guess to 78 - 79.

Is there a year they stopped putting plaid seats in?

That’s white vinyl headliner with white trim.

That folding seat and carpet trim piece make it at least a '78 (floor is flat behind the front seats). It's definitely a half-topper because you can see the top of the door. It looks like a 10-bolt front to me, making it at least a 77.

What cues mean it can't be all the way to '91? Doesn't the transmission pan look kind of long like a 700 and not short enough to be TH-350?

That's a new replica.
They set AI up to replicate what most of them look like today. probably not far off of you went by original production numbers lol.

I was looking at the trans too but I wasn't quite sure if it was a NP203/TH350 or not. I think it is because it looks more square with the notched corner, but its not 100% clear.

Another cue was the plaid seat, I didn't think they would have a plaid seat in the 80s, but I don't know that, and that's assuming its original.

At first I was laughing, then it became a challenge... ;)

I was thinking the engine oil pan looks like a newer version, not 70's.

What's the story behind the picture?

1978 was the last year for the wide style rear seat belt buckle. The removable roof is a half top.

The all white roof interior fooled me into think’n it was a full top model.
The T-case is definitely a 203 so if it’s still original to that truck and if the rear seat and floor matches what Blue85 said that would make it a 78 or 79.

No matter what it’s gonna need some massive TLC to buff out the rough spots…

Yeah, looks clear to me now.

If that's true and these parts we're noting are original, then it's a 1978. Were you originally joking about id'ing the year or did you know when you posted it?
