My truck has a turbocharged 6.2L, and as you might know, the turbo and AC stuff on the firewall occupy the exact same space. I'd rather have a turbo than AC, so I simply gutted the AC box and went on my way. That was fine in the summer when it is warm outside, but now that winter has set in, I need to find a way to seal up my air box so I can get some heat happening.
I've heard rumors that there is an S10 air box that is a direct bolt on replacement for the factory AC stuff on the engine side of the firewall. I've asked a few times in the past and never heard from anyone who has done so, but I figured I'd ask again.
I don't really need or want the AC to work, nor do I have the materials / know how to just fiberglass it shut and have it look semi-decent.
