On 2nd Gen's, what year did they stop using the round headlights? also no marker lights below the headlight, the grille kinda wraps up around it.

GM had an option of a single square head light in 1980 and than went to single or dual square lights in all the 1981 to 87 trucks and 1991 on Blazers & Sub's.
I think the wrap around grill that you are talking about is a 1981/1982 single head light truck where the blinkers are in the bumper just like a 1971/1972 truck had.

it has this same grille as a 77, but no trun signal
