Proly just what he had hanging around after he smashed it all up in a drug bust running from the cops in a flood with child pornography in the back. I'd snatch that one right up!!
(clean looking truck, i like that fender/grill style better than the 85's grill anyways!) /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
Looks like a 79 or 80 front end.Did you notice it's listed as a K10? /forums/images/graemlins/histerical.gif
Don't think I'd trust that one. /forums/images/graemlins/screwy.gif
It's definitely the pre-81 body style and the rectangular headlamps were only offered as an option in 1980. The real problem with that ad is the pic vs. the VIN, the VIN is 17 digits in length which was 81 and newer. Also, the interior is consistant with 73-80 trucks so I doubt it's an 85 with an earlier front clip.
My guess is whoever puts together the ads for that car lot mixed the pics and descriptions of 2 different trucks.
Concur. That is a 1980 Chevy Blazer. I have a 79 and is almost identical to mine. 80 was the last year for the wrap around trim and plus if you look at the steering column it has the vacuum actuated cruise control on the blinker. Could be one of 2 things, they mixed it up or they bought a vin plate and title and threw it on this one since it was either lost or irrecoverable or was stolen at one point in time. /forums/images/graemlins/thinking.gif /forums/images/graemlins/thinking.gif
With out a dout the front end (at least) is a 1980 Silverado. Silverados were the only trim models that got the square headlights in 1980. All the other trims got the round head lights.
Actually the square headlamps were part of the chrome grille option so the truck didn't have to be a Silverado, it could have been a Scottsdale, etc.. I'll agree that by far the majority were Silverados. Stupid point but I just thought I'd throw it out.
Any way you cut it though, that truck looks sweet. It appears to be clean and straight with a nice interior. I'd buy it. /forums/images/graemlins/peace.gif
Vin shows 85 with a 5.0 liter V-8. Thats 305 right.
Vin plate on dash was required 1980 and newer. Check the Federal sticker on door or B pillar, where door latches, it will have vin. Also check glove box? Hunt for frame #.
