I was wonder what year dodge trucks had the dana 60 under them and are they under 3/4 and 1 tons. I know I will have to move spring perchs but thats no big deal to me. Thanks for all the help guys.

88 or 89 to 93 for the 3/4 tons WITH a Cummins in them, I think the gassers still got D44's up to that point.. after 93 they had unit bearings, ball joints, and weaker axle shafts.

1 tons used them from the late 70's to 93. King pins not ball joints.
3/4 tons with the Cummins got the Dana 60 but not sure if they made their way under the 360 equipped high GVWR trucks.

'94+ got the craptastic unit bearing, ball joint and D44 sized inner axleshaft equipped "Dana 60's". NOT desirable.

also if cummins and non overdrive tranny it will be a 3.08 ratio dana 61

and you dont have to move axle pearches. its 1/2 " diffrence. you can space the springs 1/4 " per side to fix this.

search dana 60 and dodge for the info. its here .

For Dodge axles, the 89-93 are preferred because they have internal style locking hubs (like a Chevy) whereas the pre 89 axles have the weaker external design.

Don't forget the older trucks. I had 2-3 Dodge 60s and they were all out of a 3/4 ton. They had the not so popular external hubs tho. Think 76-ish started them, maybe earlier.

Pretty sure we were all talking about the older axles except for telling him to avoid the newer axles.

Dodge started using the kp 60s in '75 and ended in '93. There were some changes like going from external bolt on hubs/drive flanges to internal splined hubs, but just everything is interchangeable on all of them.
