What's the official name for the interior panels that go over the quarter panels on the inside of a k5? Not the steel inner skin but the interior panel that I assume came covered in vinyl or somesuch that were long gone when I got my truck?

Not sure of the official name but I’d imagine he’s talking about the vinyl covered side panels along each bedside.

Be nice to see some pre-made heavy duty ones (not vinyl/fabric) that still allowed for things like speakers.

Sheet metal will sound like a drum unless it has some ribs to keep it from flexing.
Easy enough to make out of MDF and wrap in vinyl with foam under it if desired. Several members have done it.

You could make it out of plastic sheet just as easily as plywood.
