It was a fun thread to follow leading up to BB15, so let's do it again for 2016. Post up your BB16 build goals and/or progress.

Get a trans in this thing first.

I would like front and rear tow points, bump stops, limiting straps, rock sliders and lighting.

Doubt any of it will happen.

Ha! That's a mere trifling compared with what you accomplished before BB15.

image.jpeg Building me a rust bucket!

This month and likely next are TBI conversion.
Needs a bumper for front
Winch
Some kinda slider
Rear ARB
Other stuff

Yeah this will be a new experience for me, having all that sheet metal and all.
Nevermind the wheel base!

Just hoping I don't kill the rear driveshaft
Is yours 1 or 2 piece? I did fine with my 2 piece shaft for 2 years until we ran Holy Cross. Dinged mine up on the creek crossing; would have been fine if I'd waited for a spotter.... :doah: Didn't notice until we jumped on the highway headed home. I dinged it up again on the exit of Steel Bender but it didn't throw it off balance luckily.

I want to relocate the carrier bearing so that I have the same angle I did on my K5. The K5 had the rear axle moved back about 4" and with the SYE the angle was pretty good for lack of vibration and I never had trouble dinging it up like I have the crew cab.

Yeah I'm looking at mine. I might put 1350 ends on my factory shaft and use it as a trail shaft.
But I have to drive mine home

Pretty sure that is what I have, don't remember. I get a slight vibration at 75+

Looks like I might be doing the same. Going to try my best to get a trailer.

This is a single. But I have always had 2 driveshafts, so it would be normal for me. Driving it out, then swap. No biggie

I will probably relocate the carrier bearing once I change the ends

I should add a rest bumper and possibly spare drive shafts to the list. I would like my interior put back together and a paint job, even if it is something cheap.

If you have a carrier bearing then you have a 2 piece shaft.
