What\'s a 60-2?

A friend of mine has a trashed 79 blazer at his house. His rear diff has 60-2 stamped on the top. Its a ten bolt but the pumpkin is pretty big. Is it an older corp 10 bolt or what? It's not a 12 bolt.

I dunno, the axle housing is pretty narrow and the axles are 6 lug.

Alls I know is a 2-60 is an AC system...2 windows down, 60 mph...

Well, according to the picture on that page it's either a dana 60 or 70. Its a massive pumpkin and it's got the two "dimples" on either side of the cover. But 6 lug axleshafts?

Sound like a Dana 60 Semi-Floater, they where six lug and optinal on International's

Oh man....... it took me awhile but I finally figured out what in the HELL you were talking about(58) Lack of focus! It turns out its a dana 60 from a dodge sumthin or another. My buddy took it to a diff shop and that's what he was told. Worst part is it has the same gears as his "new" blazer and a locker of some sorts. I hate this guy!
