I just pulled out all the factory heater/AC stuff and put in a Vintage air system. I just posted this on my local CL. What's a fair price?
EDIT: I have make an offer with no price listed.

I have a complete factory heater/AC box for a Chevy truck. I took this out of a 79 Blazer. It should fit all full size trucks from 73 to 86 (this is based on other literature I found - no guarantees). I removed this from my truck yesterday and all hoses and fittings are "capped". The A/C system was all new charged with R134A freon only a couple of years old.

Two of the A/C hoses are included (compressor to receiver/dryer and evap to condenser hose)
Blower motor and resister are new
A complete set of vacuum canisters are NIB/never used are also included. (I paid $155.00 for the set with the intention of replacing them on this system.)
The complete wiring harness for the heater/AC also included.
The dash control (A/C) is also included
The fresh air vacuum controlled door is also included (goes on passenger side of truck)
The under the hood vacuum reservoir is included

The heater core will need to be replaced.
You will need the compressor, condenser and one additional hose to have a complete AC system

I don't know if you will get a lot of bites but I think $100-150 should be fair if you have all these new parts.
I sold a setup for $100 all stock original but in running condition. I did have the compressor included too.

Thanks. I appreciate the feedback. That's a little better than I would have expected. I guy was selling just the box a few months back for $50.00 on CL.

Those stupid vacuum pods are freaking expensive. I found a plastic tab that closes one of the doors broken and another vacuum line disconnected when I was taking the thing out. No wonder I couldn't get real good AC.

That crap is worth money? Dammit i trashed the one i pulled out of the 73. S.O.B was taking up like 1/4 of the entire engine bay.

You'll learn one day young grasshopper. When you get older you'll like to wheel with the windows up and the AC on COLD on those 100* days. :deal:

That's the main reason I pulled it out. I wanted that firewall space. The Vintage air works pretty good so far. It was blowing around 50 when I charged it up last night.

I'm hoping the stuff doesn't just end up in the landfill - those vacuum pods were expensive.

I would think that the highest demand for that stuff would be in your neck of the woods, as for a price, I would have no idea, not much high quality work goes into old chevy trucks around here.
