I got a set of stock lug nuts for some H2 rims but they have a metric thread. I need a part # or application for some with 9/16 threads & the correct taper.

just use your old ones same taper. only diff was metric threads.

if you want to use gm centercaps with thread on plastic nuts then hop on ebay and get a set of 9/16 conversion nuts.

i did NOT want to use my stock nuts on my 07 GM 17" wheels. They didn't have enough taper area on them. I ended up ordering some ones off of ebay. Had to order 2 sets before i got a set i liked, but really, it was still cheaper than buying them elsewhere.

Not positive which set i ended up using, but i think they were these: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Lug-...ptZMotorsQ5fCarQ5fTruckQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories

Huge 1 1/16" outer surface, but they worked out ok. I didn't want to have to cut the front caps, and i had non-matching GMC caps for the rear, so i sold them. The rims i got have a tapered look into the center where the lugs are, so it doesn't look too bad missing the cap.

On, and if you are going to run capless, PAINT the part of the hub that is exposed in the rear. It will look so much better, an takes little time.

The old lug nuts have more taper & less surface area than the metric H2's. When I tighten them down the hex cuts into the taper/recess on the wheel. My old lugnuts are '73-'87 versions. Any particular year range/application to look for on stock nuts?

I got a set of splined type lugnuts from Discount Tire and they have a very large seating area, but the body is still compact. I can also say that the stock 9/16 studs will strip out long before the lugs will.

i have the stock lug nuts from my 03 hd alloy wheels , the taper fits good and has the outside thread for my stock chevy caps...but thats only to put em on newer trucks with metric thread, i found standard thread or 9/16 on ebay to put em on the older trucks...like said above.. i was missing a few i just bought some metric ones for 1.25 each....

I recommended the ebay ones, but i just noticed mine are corroding. So you get what you pay for .....:)

Eh, i was in college at the time, cheap was good. I'll steel wool them.....
