Whats inexpensive options on seats besides covers

My seats are toast, but dont want to order new ones or paid for professional services to redo them. I'm handy with leatherworking and known when to get leather and leather substitutes but not sure I'm up for the hours to do this by hand. What do most of you guys do in this case? Like something I can spray down. Was thinking maybe buying sheet tyvek for under and downing a duckcloth or other tough cloth over that.

Go junkyard/craigslist hunting... either find nice stock replacements (hard to find any better than what you have) or find something newer that you can make work. There are several threads on here about using newer seats with minimal modifications, if any.
