Well it all began when i started thinking...... been trying to sell my 6.2 with a banks turbo that i had for my cucv blazer. the new project needs a motor, but it's gas... whats involved in swapping the 6.2 in place of the 5.7? anyone have a link to a site maybe that tackles this? i have an m1008 parts truck, so i have all the stuff, but dont really want to keep it 24 volt... what would i have to swap out?... i imagine the computer needs to be yanked since the 6.2 isnt computer controlled.. i dont know wh i didnt think to do this before

With the computer and wiring you have a little more work to remove it all, as long as it has the TH400 you won't need anything special at least. Probably need a wiring harness from a civilian 6.2L truck from the mid 80's to make it work as 12V.

anyone know where i can get the engine harness? i'll probably go with manual glow plugs just to make it easier, especially since there arent too many cold days here in central cal.

I have a civy truck I am parting you can get the harness if you take it off, or I could take it off for you for some $$$
The swap is actually pretty easy, plenty here did it already.
I don't know of anybody that did a write up but maybe you should :D
