lq9 is the 6.0 found in ss trucks. the ls2 is the 6.0 found in base vettes and 05-06 gtos. hope that helps some.

most are lq4s, the lower compression motors. they are in all the typical 3/4 and 1 tons and the like, and the lq9s are in the escalades, (i THINK) denalis, SSS, and SSTB. 04+ have beefier rods than the previous.
