Friend of mine who has a ramp truck and is always scoring deals on used vehicles or hauls them in for scrap, towed in a 1 ton dump truck a customer of mine owned that sadly died at age 50 about 7-8 years ago...it might be up for grabs..not sure if it has a clean title or not..
Truck appears to be a 73 or so Chevy, and the former owner worked at a salvage yard,so it has few original parts, but a lot of "better" ones--like a later EFI 350 ,from around an '87 vintage,a Dana 60 front end,SM465 4 speed,NP-205 trans, dually rear end,and a mason dump body (heaped full of old roof shingles!)...
Truck has sat a long time, cab is pretty much junk, but could be patched up I suppose--dump body is rusted and rough, not sure if it works, but probably would with some tinkering..--I only got a chance to look it over quickly--it has a gas tank behind the seat (?) and the computer and other wiring is located behind the seat...dont know if it runs, will run,or if it wont..
It also has an 8 foot Fisher Plow on it...nose and inner fenders are pretty solid..frame looked OK too, from what I could see at a quick peek under it..
Knowing who towed it in,it'll either go in for scrap soon,or sold to the first person with cash who makes an offer--but he also knows the D60 is worth as much as the rest of it is..(500+ here easily)..
I wouldn't mind owning it if I could get it real cheap, but its not really something you'd want to "daily drive"..not until you patched up or replaced the cab..
