Saw one for sale in a yard in a tiny little town. Box has some damage, and I could see rust on the bottom of the driver fender. Grill is in great shape. Sorry no pics, but I'll try and get some next weekend. I didn't even stop to look at the sign so no idea what he's asking, but I bet it's not a ton judging by the community and location.

I know the short box 4x4 is fairly rare to begin with. I noticed it has selectro hubs and the 4 wheel drive badges so it's original looking.

Ugh.. I'm on my phone..didn't notice I was in the lounge. Mods can you move it to garage for me.

Bump for the Monday morning guys! Really been thinking about looking at this truck a little harder next weekend.

Yeah we kind of need pics......and a price.

The market for 67-72 Chevy trucks is pretty hot right now, and a factory shortbed is pretty desirable. Rust is always a concern since it costs so much to repair, so be sure to crawl around underneath and get a good look at things.

A couple areas to look at for rust that are bad on my '71 is the windshield frame and the bed floor. Also wear the inner fenders meet the core support is a spot water an junk can collect and start rust. With out pictures or knowing what kind of shape everything is in I'd give a price of like 3k to maybe 7k.

Most of the 67-72 trucks I see around here had the doors rot away where the upper hinge bolts on,even back 20 years ago--so look for cracks there too..

I'd say a truck like that in this area,if its anywhere near solid and restorable, will bring 1500+ easy..not many to choose from here, period!.

Here in So cal a decent version of what you described even needing some rust repair woulf be in the 4-7K arena. Those trucks are rare, especially SWB and factory 4wd. These are just not many of them left and command a premium when ever you see them for sale. Condition is paramount though.

Here is an idea of what I am talking about.

I agree, if its "restorable" rust or not as they all have it.

If the cab is decent and mostly complete I'd say 2-3 grand. All depends in pics and what's actually there and if its complete.

Ok cool thanks everybody. I will get some pictures when I go look at it again. Its a drive and a ferry ride away!
