Hey guys, I have a guy who needs to sell his 75 pretty quick and I was thinking about buying it for a full top conversion for my 90. It has a 327 w/ camel hump heads and a 4spd trans. The body is ROUGH and I'm not sure about the condition of the transfer case. The top is in great shape and doors are really not that bad. Seeing that it needs all new sheet metal including floors, I don't think it's worth saving. I can snap a few pics if they are a must, but I just wondered what you guys think it's worth? They guy goes to my church with a freind, so I don't want to screw him. Suggestions....

Well I also have a 75 all the sheetmetal needs replacing but it has some decent parts it runs and drives I Paid 350$ for mine and I think I would have maybe paid 400 at the time but not more. I would say at best 500

Here a few pics I snapped early this morning. As far as the guy knows, he hasn't had it running for 5+ years. I just don't want to cut this thing up if you guys think it's salvageable.

Yeah, cut that thing up. Way too much work to revive that. It looked okay in the first picture, but the other two were a dead giveaway.

I pronounce it DOA. Cut her up, convert your rig, and give him $350 unless he gets it running. Show up with the cash in hand. Prices always drop when there is cash in front of their eyes.

Agreed with $300-350. It looks like you can get you a 2-3" body lift off it.

silence please as i read her the last rights.

hack it up and build yours. :D

I hear ya, that's one of the main reasons I wanted some opinions. I didn't want to cut it if people thought it was worth savin :( . Gonna break out my Tiger Saw

Put it out of its misery. Also, either that isn't a 75 or someone added the later side molding to it. Not that it matters but the 73-75 had some stiffening pieces under the floor in the foot well area and if this doesn't have it then it's not a 75 and may be a conversion that someone else already did.

it has the 70s front frame horns.

Which is most likely? Someone cut up a K5 and did a full top convert already? Or someone went to a body shop supply store and bought a roll of side moulding?

I hear what you're saying but that last pics looks to be either a NP208 or NP241 t-case. Also don't think GM was using that style of mirror back in 75. Like i said not that it matters if he's only going to cut the windshield frame and top for a conversion. I just like picking about different year stuff from what people are told things are.

good call on the tcase. Don't think those started until what 82? Definetally post body/frame change. Hmm, you may well want to question the years and inspect that the parts you want to steal aren't hacked.

Ok, little more about the truck. It has been worked over a lot by the current owner. It was originally an auto w/ 350 truck and he put the 327 & 4 spd conversion in it. He also swapped out the doors (including mirrors) and put a coat of paint on it. I'm guessing that he put the molding on it then too. Keep in mind this was all done several years before he parked it where it sets now. It also has a real nice double tube roll bar (that's like new) mounted right behind the front seats.

Are you in Louisana?

What do those seats look like? Any pics, are they FS?

I will have to check on the seats etc. All I was interested in was the top and roll bar. My friend is gonna use the trans and maybe few other parts. Everything else, will be up for dibs or it's going to the bone yard.

Texas, I live in Lafayette Indiana (sorry)
