I'm trying to figure out what size lift I have on the rumble bee. I'd like to actually go down to a 4" lift and want to know what I have so I can offer a trade a few places.

Lift is all spring. These are the only couple pics I have left in my phone at the moment..... Tires are 37", no body lift.

Theres a thread here somewhere....

Measurements from where the bump stop rubber mounts to its bracket to the top of the axle. Some special magic about 12.5"

I'll have to measure later. That sounds like a long ways.

I'm not strong with the search-fu on here. I've searched for some other things. But I'll try quick.

Found a link to an old thread that gives me an error. But I did find the magic number of 8"-8.5" where you said to measure mentioned in a few places

A search for “axle frame height” got this:

We use 8.5 to 9" from axle tube to the bumpstop bracket which is a little above frame bottom which would say you have 1-1.5" of lift on it. Would be nice to find some actual stock vehicles but we measured this up years ago from a bunch of stock, intact trucks we had around and it works pretty good. It correlated nicely to the 3" lift on my '88 sub that ended up at 11 3/4". D60 fronts tend to push that to 9" or a bit more we figure.

Cool... I'm going to measure later. Didn't catch the part about a d60 adding to the measurement. I do have a 60.

Yeah I kinda looked through but was really hoping that there was a measurement spot. When Bent mentioned that there was a thread I looked around and found that... I'll probably see later tonight. Ice melted and the flu is gone. So I should be able to get something done finally lol

14¾" so I'm just going with 6" lift.... Thanks guys:thumb:
