a K5 87? Prefferably covering all thinkable parts.
Since I dont have any manuals or knowledge on the 700 tranny, what is recommended usage for it? OD for highway I got but is there any min speed involved? 70% of the roads here where I live is like max speed 55, rest is much lower.
Apprechiate any inputs to enlighten me )
(and my spelling probably suck -p)

Lol with those , I end up spend more on manuals then the whole truck costed me -p.
Any a lil less heavy but still good )?

I just picked up a Helm for $60 for my '83, but I think I saw an '86 version on Ebay (much cheaper) -- check it out.

Well like I said the factory manuals are the best, lots of pictures /forums/images/icons/smile.gif . But chiltons and haynes did me fine till I got the factory manuals.

YOu just don't want to let the tranny keep shifting in and out of overdrive. If it does that, keep it in "3" until you are cruising and then drop it to "D". Otherwise, don't worry about a minimum speed. It will figure out on it's own when it is ready to upshift, assuming the TV cable is adjusted right. The 700 is a clueless transmission, but at 55mph it should stay in 4th gear all the time, unless you have big tires with stock gears.
