Im looking at an 89 suburban 4x4 thats had the body all redone on it, had a gm crate engine (350 tbi) put in 2 years agao, had the tranny and t-case rebuild at the same time. has new tires, brakes, and front end parts...along with air bags in the rear for towing. now he only wants $2500 for it...cuz he has 2 many toys and he's moving outwest to work. so back to my question. These things are big, and i just wanna know how different in size they are compared to most other 4x4 chevs. I know they are way longer then blazers or short box pickups. but what about long boxs and extended cabs??
Thanks
Josh

Longer than a Blazer but thats mostly just the difference of the door.. the rest hangs out the back in the breeze :D They are big.. but I can still parallel park it just fine.

I love mine.

so is it basically like a long box truck or an extended cab long box, for a rough idea? i wanna know cuz i plan on wheeling this thing if i get it. ive wheeled long boxs and it was fine, just dont know how this would be.

I would agree it's like a long box reg cab... haven't really wheeled mine yet, though I've turned it around in some pretty tight spots without much work(helps to have mirrors and good spotters).

129" wheel base. Longer then a standard cab long bed but shorter then an extended cab short bed. I wheel mine all the time and it can get very tight sometimes. If you use reference points, you will be fine.

its just like havin a standard cab longbed with a topper.it gets kinda hard to see little things behind the bed when backing up.big enuf tires and it wont matter.i backed over my wifes car on accident because she parked right behind me and when i looked in the rearview i didnt see anything.she was none too happy when she heard the crunch and my hitch was sittin in the middle of her hood.lol.and that was with my blazer.im lookin into a burb for the family to wheel in.4 kids and a wife dont fit in the blazer too well.

The worse part of my burb was the rear overhang. I jammed the hitch into a lot of dirt banks and stuff witch is why I always left the hitch in, so it would hit first. My burb was not lifted though and only ran 31" tires.

kind a reminds me of a song..............
Ohhhhhh..............Give me 40 acres.
and I'll turn this rig around.:D
