whats the scoop

With some fabbing skills, a little luck and a second steer axle it's possible. I have pondered this exact thought, just doesn't leave enough of a 'comfort zone' for me without using rockwell axles.

It was Detroit's first 4 stroke. Unlike the 6.2 and 6.5 Liter diesels GM used in their light duty trucks, this one actually is a Detroit. It is big, heavy, and low on power. They were used in medium duty trucks and buses. I think the horsepower is from like 150 to a little over 200, but don't quote me on that. They are called "Fuel Pinchers". I would stay away.
