Whats this flange on my frame for?

After I got the frame out from under the tub I noticed a cut bracket or crossmember. Does anyone know what that was for and do I need it back?

It doesn't look like it carried across to the other frame rail.

My guess would be an exhaust bracket.

That would make sense. I guess I'll put something back for that purpose. If I keep the L shape and only run out about 10" from the frame it should be strong. If anyone has pics of theirs that would be helpful. Thanks

It's an exhaust hanger bracket.
