What's this for ?

Working on interior Sat. been planning for long time. BUT I have some unknown wiring in the cab. So far I've been able to identify most of it. Most goes to a useless sound system. This cable running from the firewall to the transmission well is still unknown. Anyone can help???

4wd indicator light.

goes to the switch on the transfer case to tell you when you are in fx4 hi or lo. lights the light in the gauge cluster.

4x4 indicator cable...

That's interesting... considering I've never seen the light lit. Either it's not connected or the cluster is dead. The question is do I need it?

Don't need it, but nice to have it work I figure, if it's all there.

Could simply be a bad bulb.
