Hey guys I can buy this K10 for 6,000. Newer crate 350, 700r trans rebuilt. 4:10 gears new warn winch 9k air heat new paint seat.... Pretty much the truck is new. Couple of spots in the paint, not bad. Line X bed. Leaking a little out of the rear main. Over all seams to be a good truck. What do y'all think?

new crate motor and leaking main ? ? ?

also even all that 6k little high in this market for 1/2 ton

That's what I was thinking... Yes the motor it's newer.... Newer than an 1986.Lol! Just what the guy told me.

6 seems high, Id say 4500 would be fair.

This is what I was going to suggest. Maybe even 4000. New paint is nice but it always scares me on these old trucks. Look it over good, check for rust bubbles and bondo on the back side of body panels.

10-4 thanks for the help... I was thinking about hitting the guy at 5,500 but I'm thinking now that may be too high as well!

This is the truck I'm trying to buy! The guy will not call me back... It's still for sale. 1972 454, seems to be clean. I would give 6k for it if he would just call me back!

If there is no rust on that sheet metal and the truck was in good working order (no leaks) $6k is about right. The rear main seal is what would scare me most though. A newer crate engine "should" have the one piece main seal and those dont leak often. I would offer $4800 and go from there.

If your not in a hurry wait till gas goes farther up and some of these will be given away, can you feed that 454 at 9 mpg (no OD), some will feel like they are stuck with a white elephant. :dunno:

Chicago area its high fours already:eek1: I'm paying 4.20 for diesel here and there.
