Saw this in a pic and wonder what it was. It's below the dash by the pedals. C'mon cucv experts, fill me in. Thanks.:D:bow:

That's huge! Like a Fred Flinstone era OBD port or something?

Yeah, more like whole-vehicle diagnostic, seeing as there isn't a computer on the thing. I figure there's pins for the electrical supplies, so you can check the alternator(s), battery(ies), etc.

I think I unscrewed the cover on mine once, went "ooh" and then put it back :haha:

it is a 24 NATO accessory plug. Think a very big cigarette plug. Same as whats up front for jump starts.

Thought the one up front -- "slave receptacle" -- only had the two big fat wires, and this one had a bunch of little ones.

from what I read it is for radios and other NATO crap! UTC connector. The up front -- "slave receptacle" -- only had the two big fat wires, is for NATO jump starts.

I can't see the pic for some reason...but if it is a round plug with a bunch of pins labeled A-Z(or more)...it is for diagnostics...I used it a couple times when I was in the Army...it is for STE-ICE( I think that's what it's called)....the only thing I ever used it for was to jump the neutral safety switch.

Diagnostic connector, IIRC.

Yep. Thanks to the guys over on SteelSoldiers you can't find a STE-ICE doemahickey for less than $500 lately so mine is just a conversation piece.
