That guy has about 100 auctions running on e-Bay right now, and most of them are selling that kind of "cheesy" stuff. I'm sure it's all built somewhere in the Far East, and is sold in big bulk-packs for about $3 a speaker!!!

Man that stuff looks bad......

It's weird looking... but if you have a low rider with hydro's then I think you'd fit right in with that speaker....

Since when did "Chrome" make a speaker better quality?

Actually Chrom is going to hurt the performance not help it. When a woofer runs lets say 800watts of power , the motor structer i.e. the voice coils, the former etc... Get very very hot. That is why they vent the pole peice. Well chrome actually hurts the heat disappation factor of the woofer. Like I have always said, "Chrome wont get ya home pretty boy!"
Another funny thing about the woofer is the nipple in the middle of thge dust cap. I got a real kick out of it. This does NOTHING for a woofer. It helps the dispertion on a midrange speaker, thats why your high end Focal speakers for example have a nipple in them. At the lower frequencies that the woofer plays at it does nothing for ya! Anywys just my .02

My guess is that it's not even metal with chrome plating. The finish looks like "plastic chrome" like the stuff that came in those Revel car models that you used to buy as a kid....the parts for the bumpers, wheels, etc.

yuck!!!!

That was a joke BTW.

Who would care if your speakers, especially subs, were chrome anyway? They're in the box, not like you can see them or something.
