Okay, I've got one for you. When I bought my 78 El Camino, it had a few issues. It got a 305 2bbl, TH350. It runs great till you put your foot in it. Then it bogs down and dies. Take it out of gear and the engine will rev back up, but put it back in gear it acts like it's starving for fuel. I did install a new fuel pump, but still has same problem. What do you think the problem is ?? I really don't have the $$ too keep fixin' thing that aren't the problem. I do plan on a new carb soon (2bbl just doesn't trip my trigger). Would a clogged cat converter cause this problem ?? I've been letting it sit, but with spring comming up, I'll have too get at it.

I think it's your cat ....just me 2 cents .If everything else checks out then thats your problem . Had a monte carlo that did the same thing and thats what fixed it .
