Whats your opinion on exhuast size?

Can you post that part number when you get a chance? Thanks and thanks again for the sway bar and info!
 
Taking my exhaust apart to remove the engine. Here's some pics of the riser. You can see where the riser hit the frame a couple times before I adjusted it further away. You can also see the remote mount oil filter system I had to do, so I could get to the filter after the Y pipe was installed.

K85, i must have my terminology screwed up. I was told the heat riser is the little thing that looks like dryer hose that runs from my manifold to the intake. basically dose nothing but give your intake hot air for warming up quicker i think. My truck has nothing like what you posted? But it was cool to see and learn thanks.

What K85 posted was a pick of the EFE valve. The heat riser is the small 1.5" diameter flex tube that goes from the exhaust manifold to the air cleaner housing just as you thought.
 
Then the Edelbrocks will work perfect for you. They sucked donkey testies for my passenger side. They also come with the O2 sensor bung. And headers normally come with a little pipe you weld on for the heat riser, so you place it where it's best.

Whatever headers you chose, run some good gaskets, no paper crap. I've had real good luck so far with the Percy's aluminum gaskets.
