wheel adaptors

try a search for this really couldnt find an answer but in echobit 8-6 lug adaptors why is there only 6 holes for the lugs and not 8. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif
 
It looks to me like you actually have to remove two of the studs. The studs on a 14B are bigger than the studs on a six lug axle and you couldn't use them with many 6 lug wheels, plus the diameter of a circle drawn through the studs is bigger w/ the 8 lug pattern.
I think the reason is that there is no way to line up the two wheel patterns and use all of the studs.
 
I believe it is for the reason stated above. Also, 6 of the 14bff's studs are alot stronger then the 1/2ton studs. (9/16" vs. 7/16")
