1990 K5...4" lift. New BFG 33x12.5.
Wheels need replaced. Suggestions for 15x8 steel? Looking at Pro-Comp.

Steel aren't exactly the roundest wheels ever made. If you do buy them have them checked for true before you mount them. Might have to return one out of the batch.

If I had a suggestion it would be to find the same style wheel in aluminum.

Suggestions?
I don't mind bypassing steel if the price isn't too high.
Longtime casual 4x4 offroader, but first K5.
Just wanting to get the K5 straight while keeping it fairly stock.
Worth spending the extra and going to a decent set of Amer. Racing mags?
Had em on my Jeep and liked em.

I think that it depends on how you are going to use the truck. I like aluminum for one that isn't used in rocks and mud. Just because those types of wheeling can be hard on the wheels if you impact the bead area. Hammer it back in shape to get home with steel. Aluminum is my preference for every other truck.
As far as what style, your preference. I don't like the all black wheel trend, it just looks like a lack of style to me. But that's just my preference. I haven't looked much, but there don't seem to be many of the current wheel designs that I like, cuz I would love a set of slot mags for my K10. So @K5wrench and I don't agree on one thing. US made would be great for me, just may be difficult to get in one that you like.

I feel you on cost, cant beat steel. Every time I have swapped a truck to aluminum I have thought "Damn, why didn't I do this earlier?" I just think aluminum wheels drive better and I think they are worth the extra money. Pro Comp is the best deal on a good aluminum wheel I think.

Thanks!
Trying to keep the style fairly stock. Off-road will honestly be fairly mild and seldom. Building as a true daily. I've beat the hell outta enough toys in my lifetime. Just building a capable daily.
Going with black since my Scottsdale's lt. Blue and black top. Started with seat covers, but going to black interior when I order my door panels, etc.
Seen some beautiful black or silver / chrome K5's, but I kinda like the utilitarian look.

Cool....believe it was a basic/cheap A.R. rim set I had on my Xterra and Jeep. They handled great.
Going aluminum would eliminate corrosion issues.
