So i am going to pick up a set of 18.4 16.1 tires next week. I have about 7 inches of lift with my axles in the stock locations. I am going to do a lot of trimming, but i am still a little worried about fitting a 44-45 inch tire. I have seen whees from 2 inches to 5 inches backspacing.

I am looking at 16 inch wheels for them probably 10 inches wide. And i am wondering if backspacing plays a roll in clearance for the firewall, frame, or anything else during turning or driving. With less backspacing i am thinking the tires sticking out further will be more likely to rub. Any advice?

I run 18.4 and 21.5 tires with 15" and 16" wide wheels respectively with 4.75" backspacing on both.
